Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Dallas is actively seeking a Trust and Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded Estate Planning practice. The firm provides comprehensive estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management advice to individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations. This role requires a dedicated and skilled attorney with 3-5 years of experience to help manage complex estate planning matters and deliver high-quality legal services to clients.

Duties:

  • Draft complex estate planning documents for high-net-worth individuals, including business succession plans and charitable giving provisions
  • Counsel clients on estate and gift tax planning, as well as generation-skipping tax considerations
  • Assist with probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Process Federal gift and estate tax returns
  • Advise clients on tax-exempt organization planning
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on sophisticated estate planning strategies
  • Manage and support trust administration and related matters

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and tax planning
  • Proven experience drafting estate planning documents and business succession plans
  • Solid understanding of estate and gift tax regulations
  • Experience with probate proceedings and tax-exempt organization planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both senior attorneys and clients
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Active membership in the Texas Bar (or timely admission upon employment)

Education:

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school

Certifications:

  • Membership in the Texas Bar
