Job Overview:

A law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled attorney to join its Municipal and Local Government practice group. This role involves providing comprehensive legal services to municipal government clients, including acting as general counsel, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and attending client meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in municipal law, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to build effective client relationships.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analyze municipal laws, contracts, and real estate documents to develop effective strategies.
  • Offer legal advice to municipal staff, elected officials, and appointed boards.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, ordinances, resolutions, deeds, easements, and policies.
