A law firm seeks a highly skilled leasing attorney to join its growing team in Tampa, Florida. This position is perfect for an attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience who has a passion for real estate law and a focus on leasing matters. The role involves working with a diverse range of properties, including retail, office spaces, medical facilities, and industrial properties. The ideal candidate will be proficient in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing lease agreements, providing strategic counsel on leasing issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various lease agreements, amendments, and related documents for a wide range of property types, including commercial retail, medical offices, and industrial parks.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on leasing transactions, landlord-tenant disputes, and lease compliance matters.
  • Interpret lease provisions and ensure clarity in legal documentation.
  • Advise clients on regulatory issues and compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding leasing.
  • Handle disputes related to lease terms, tenant rights, and property obligations.
  • Collaborate with clients and other attorneys to resolve legal issues and guide them through complex leasing negotiations.
  • Ensure all documents are accurately drafted and comply with applicable laws and standards.
  • Support clients in managing relationships with landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in leasing or real estate law, particularly in the commercial space.
  • Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and leasing regulations.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while also working as part of a team.
  • Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage client relationships and deliver strategic legal advice.
  • Must be admitted to The Florida Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to The Florida Bar (or pending admission).

Skills:

  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial lease agreements.
  • Knowledge of real estate law, including landlord-tenant issues, property rights, and lease compliance.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
