Insurance Defense Attorney

A Fort Myers, FL, law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have over three years of insurance litigation experience and exceptional writing and analytical skills. The firm offers a competitive total compensation package.

Duties:

• Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Evaluating and analyzing insurance defense cases.
• Responding to discovery requests and managing the discovery process.
• Preparing and arguing motions in court.
• Attending hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Meeting with clients to discuss case strategies and progress.
• Negotiating settlements with opposing counsel.
• Providing legal counsel and advice on insurance defense matters.
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in insurance law and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of insurance litigation experience.
• Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar and be in good standing.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the state of Florida.
