Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in the Electrical Engineering, Software, or Mechanical fields.
• Assist with patent litigation, including research, discovery, and preparation of legal documents.
• Provide technical analysis and strategy in support of patent prosecution.
• Collaborate with attorneys, engineers, and clients to develop effective IP strategies.
• Manage patent portfolios, including filing and responding to office actions from the USPTO.
• Ensure compliance with intellectual property laws and regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in patent law and related technologies.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in patent prosecution, including drafting applications.
• Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Strong understanding of patent laws, particularly in Electrical Engineering, Software, or Mechanical domains.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent organizational skills.
• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.

Certifications:

• USPTO Registration is required.

Skills:

• Expertise in patent prosecution and litigation.
• Familiarity with other forms of intellectual property is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in clear, accessible terms.
• Experience with patent databases and filing systems.
