Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, specifically with expertise in CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) and balance sheet lending. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on CMBS lending and servicing, where you will work with a variety of real estate finance matters.

Duties:

  • Represent lenders and servicers in CMBS and balance sheet financing transactions.
  • Handle asset management and servicing for CMBS and balance sheet loans.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage closings for real estate finance matters.
  • Provide legal counsel on structuring real estate finance deals.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to meet clients’ objectives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate finance.
  • Expertise in CMBS lending and servicing, along with balance sheet financing.
  • Strong research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to handle large and complex transactions.
  • Solid understanding of real estate finance laws and regulations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. state.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.
