A well-established estate planning, probate, and business formation firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 2+ years of relevant experience to join their team in Middle Georgia. Location:

Duties:

  • Lead in estate planning, probate, and business formation matters
  • Meet with clients, assess their legal needs, provide expert counsel, and build lasting client relationships
  • Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments
  • Assist with designing business structures and providing tax planning advice
  • Stay current on laws and regulations related to estate planning, probate, and business law
  • Attend court hearings and represent clients in contested probate matters
  • Support lead counsel in appellate matters appealed to the Superior Court
  • Enhance the firm's community presence and participate in public forums
  • Demonstrate leadership in legal matters and contribute to team development

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in estate planning, probate, and business formation
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time-management skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public speaking abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, deadline-driven environment
  • Flexibility to manage urgent matters effectively

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
