Duties:

  • Conduct thorough due diligence, drafting, and negotiation of loan documents and other transaction-related agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of financing transactions.
  • Provide expertise on lending practices, including experience on the borrower’s side when applicable, and assist in the structuring of complex deals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics that may impact private credit transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in private credit or finance matters, preferably at a nationally recognized law firm or in a relevant legal capacity.
  • Proven track record of handling a variety of financing transactions, demonstrating a solid understanding of the legal and commercial aspects involved.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering productive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.

Skills:

  • Expertise in private credit, finance law, and related areas.
  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
