Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its expanding civil litigation defense team in Syosset, NY. Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload, including the preparation of legal documents such as motions, appeals, and discovery responses.
• Review and analyze medical records and other case-related documents.
• Represent clients in court appearances and conduct depositions.
• Develop and execute effective legal strategies tailored to each case.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to ensure high-quality legal representation.
• Draft and argue motions, as well as participate in trial preparation.

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Experience in civil litigation, preferably in negligence, labor law, construction, motor vehicle, or professional/medical malpractice cases.
• Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines while working in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York State Law License.
