Job Overview: A law firm in Bonita Springs, FL, is seeking a skilled Real Estate/Community Association Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in community association law and transactional real estate and a strong understanding of Florida statutes and administrative codes governing community associations.

Job Duties:

  • Drafting and reviewing community association documents, including amendments, board resolutions, meeting notices, and architectural guidelines.
  • Conducting a thorough analysis of Chapter 718, Chapter 720, Chapter 617, and other relevant statutes and Florida Administrative Codes.
  • Staying updated on changes in community association laws, case law developments, and industry trends.
  • Attending and providing legal counsel at membership meetings, board meetings, and elections.
  • Performing legal research and analysis to interpret and apply governing documents effectively.
  • Advising clients on daily operational issues such as violations, maintenance responsibilities, and general association operations.
  • Prepared and reviewed real estate contracts for transactions.
  • Collaborating effectively with peers, title companies, and realtors throughout the real estate transactions.
  • Supervising and guiding paralegals involved in real estate transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in community association law and transactional real estate.
  • Membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Certification or specialization in real estate law or community association law preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and contracts.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of Florida statutes and administrative codes related to community associations.
  • Familiarity with real estate transaction processes and procedures.
