A law firm in Arlington, VA, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a focus on construction law. The attorney will manage a diverse range of construction-related cases, providing legal expertise and ensuring the highest standard of service for clients. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, advising clients on legal matters, and representing them in disputes. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in construction law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex cases in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of construction-related cases, including contract disputes, claims, and litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and agreements.
  • Advise clients on construction law issues, including risk management, regulatory compliance, and contract interpretation.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, as required.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and legal guidance throughout the case.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction law, including contract review, litigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Must have an active Bar admission.

 

Education & Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar admission (required).

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction law, including relevant regulations and industry practices.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and dispute resolution abilities.
