Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills, a solid academic background, and substantial experience in handling complex litigation matters.

Job Duties:

• Represent clients in complex litigation matters, including commercial disputes, class actions, and other high-stakes cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents.
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.
• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on litigation risks and strategies.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate case files and documentation.
• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 4-5 years of experience in litigation, with substantial exposure to complex litigation matters.
• Strong academic background and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certification in Civil Litigation or Trial Advocacy from a recognized legal association or institution.
