This role involves managing complex criminal cases, advising clients on their legal rights, and preparing robust defense strategies. Duties:

• Advise clients on their rights and draw up legal documents about their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.
• Manage court appearances and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research.
• Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Manage the workload of multiple cases effectively.
• Provide legal analysis to clients to determine possible case benefits.
• Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions; determine essential case strategy goals and gather information from witnesses and experts.
• Collaborate with fellow associates on case strategies and offer assistance as needed.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of Criminal Defense experience.
• Proven experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player mentality with a willingness to help and strategize with associates.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
