PIP Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is looking to hire an Associate Attorney to join its No-Fault and coverage practice group, focusing on the defense of New York No-Fault claims. The ideal candidate will have experience in No-Fault claims or general litigation, but newly admitted attorneys are also welcome to apply. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to grow within the firm while working on a wide range of insurance defense matters.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Defend New York No-Fault claims, managing both litigation and insurance defense consultancy.
• Manage a caseload, including preparing legal documents and case files.
• Conduct examinations under oath and depositions.
• Appear in court and for arbitration matters.
• Draft legal paperwork such as motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Advise clients on legal matters and provide strategic solutions.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
• Experience in New York No-Fault claims is preferred, but not required.
• General litigation experience is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Comfortable working in both a team and independent setting.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York (required).

Skills:

• Experience in No-Fault claims and insurance defense is preferred.
• Proficiency in litigation, depositions, and court appearances.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a full caseload and prioritize effectively.
