Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a talented and driven associate attorney to join their Labor & Employment team in Los Angeles. This position is ideal for an individual with 3-4 years of experience in labor and employment litigation, specifically in wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and single-plaintiff employment litigation. The successful candidate will work closely with a dynamic group of professionals while engaging in both litigation and advisory work. Duties:

• Represent clients in labor and employment disputes, including California wage and hour class action litigation, PAGA claims, and single-plaintiff cases.
• Provide counsel on day-to-day employment matters, including employee handbooks and policy development.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and court filings.
• Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions, as well as prepare and participate in settlement conferences and negotiations.
• Prepare for and support trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development activities.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of relevant labor and employment litigation experience, specifically in California.
• Strong legal writing skills and experience with discovery, motions, pleadings, and depositions.
• Prior experience in wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and single-plaintiff employment litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Client relationship and business development skills are a plus.

Education:

• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active member of the California Bar in good standing.

Certifications:

• California Bar membership (active and in good standing).
