Litigation Associate

Job Overview:

A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join its Product, Tort & Insurance Litigation Practice Group in the Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in trials, mediations, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and drafting pleadings. Strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing abilities, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role.

Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Assist in managing product, tort, and insurance litigation cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Attend and support trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.
• Provide support and assist in trial preparation, including discovery and evidence gathering.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of litigation experience in product, tort, or insurance law.
• Experience with trials, mediations, motion practice, depositions, and hearings.
• Strong academic record and excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active state bar membership in Texas.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research, writing, and litigation practices.
• Experience in handling various aspects of litigation, including trials and depositions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work under pressure.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
