Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Relevant experience in insurance defense.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Virginia State Bar.
