Mid-level to Senior Restructuring Associate

Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm is seeking a mid-level to senior Associate Attorney with extensive experience in restructuring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by investors in complex restructurings. This role involves representing both debtors and creditors in large-scale Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Location:

Duties:

• Represent debtors and creditors in large, complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.

• Advise clients on out-of-court restructurings and financial restructuring strategies.

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions and briefs.

• Analyze corporate finance issues related to restructuring cases.

• Provide strategic guidance on restructuring transactions and bankruptcy litigation.

• Collaborate with legal teams, financial advisors, and stakeholders to develop solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of experience at a peer law firm handling restructuring matters.

• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and bankruptcy law.

• Proven ability to manage complex restructuring cases.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of New York.

• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.

Skills:

• Expertise in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
