A law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a White Collar and Government Investigations Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Committee on Foreign Investments (CFIUS), U.S. export controls, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred. Candidates must be admitted and actively barred in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on matters involving CFIUS, U.S. export controls, and ITAR regulations.
  • Manage and support international trade regulatory and compliance cases.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate regulatory documents and compliance programs.
  • Conduct internal investigations and respond to inquiries from government agencies.
  • Develop strategies to ensure client compliance with trade regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with an active legal team on regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Stay informed on changes in international trade regulations and enforcement practices.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients, delivering timely and effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
  • 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters.
  • Practical experience with CFIUS, U.S. export controls, and ITAR is required.
  • General knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a legal team in regulatory and compliance matters.
