Job Overview:

The Estate Planning Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive estate planning services to clients. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a thorough understanding of estate planning laws and regulations.

 

Duties:

  • Assist clients in creating and implementing estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of client assets and liabilities to develop tailored estate planning strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to ensure effective wealth preservation and asset distribution.
  • Manage trust and estate administration matters, including asset transfers, beneficiary distributions, and tax filings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on complex estate planning issues, such as tax implications and charitable giving strategies.
  • Draft and review various estate planning documents, including trust agreements, wills, and deeds.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in estate planning.
  • California State Bar License.
  • Prior trust and estate administration experience or an LLM in estate planning or taxation is advantageous.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

California State Bar License.
