Job Overview:
A law firm is looking for a skilled and dedicated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its team in the Charlotte, NC area. This firm is recognized for its commitment to delivering outstanding legal services and client advocacy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing pre-litigation cases, negotiating claims, and working closely with case managers to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.

Duties:

  • Oversee medical management performed by case managers and evaluate case values.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to strategize and negotiate claims.

  • Act as a mentor to case managers and direct reports, ensuring effective case management practices.

  • Communicate regularly with clients, maintaining a high standard of service.

  • Assist in litigation referrals and support exceptional cases at the discretion of leadership.

  • Collaborate with firm leadership to maximize outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of personal injury law experience.

  • An active member of the North Carolina Bar Association.

  • South Carolina Bar membership is a plus.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills required.

  • Experience with Needles Neos Case Management Software is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and public speaking abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active NC Bar Association membership is required.

  • SC Bar membership is desirable.

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing proficiency.

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Strong negotiation abilities.

  • Client-focused mindset with a commitment to quality service.
