Duties

• Advise clients on legal rights and case strategies
• Draft and review legal documents, motions, and pleadings
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, trials, and court proceedings
• Conduct legal research and analyze case precedents
• Interview witnesses and experts to gather supporting evidence
• Prepare clients for depositions and court appearances
• Develop and execute defense strategies for various criminal cases
• Manage multiple cases while ensuring timely filings and legal compliance

Requirements

• Strong interest in Criminal Defense Law, demonstrated through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer experience
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams and clients
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal, research, and communication skills
• Experience with case management software is preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the state of California (or awaiting admission)
