Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A premier law firm in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking a dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney to join its team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in criminal defense while contributing to the growth of a well-established firm. The attorney will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a skilled Criminal Defense team. The role involves working under the supervision of the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney.

Location:

• Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategy recommendations
• Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, conducting witness interviews, and performing legal research
• Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents and develop case strategies
• Manage and organize case workloads
• Provide legal analysis to clients regarding case benefits and potential outcomes
• Accumulate additional evidence to support clients' cases and challenge the prosecution's charges
• Prepare clients for depositions, gathering essential case information from witnesses and experts

Requirements:

• Experience handling criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to exceptional client service
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Must be admitted to practice law in California

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills, including case analysis, legal research, and drafting legal documents
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines effectively
