Litigation Of Counsel

• Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will supervise associates, work closely with clients, and assist in developing case strategy.

• Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Supervise and mentor associates working on litigation matters.
  • Work with experts in various fields to develop case theories and strategies.
  • Assist development and preparation for depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and legal memoranda.

• Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated good business judgment and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others.
  • Management skills to supervise and mentor junior associates.

• Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.
  • Additional qualifications such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree are desirable.
  • Admission to practice law in New York and California (CA) is required.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research methodologies and tools.
