Job Description:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their cases.
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise them on the best strategies following each hearing.
  • Manage court appearances and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.
  • Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Manage a workload of cases efficiently.
  • Provide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefits.
  • Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or to argue against prosecution charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions; determine essential goals of case strategy and gather information from witnesses and critical experts that support clients' positions.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of Criminal Defense experience.
  • Experience handling complex federal, state, and local criminal cases.
  • A team player open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associates.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
