Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team. This full-time, remote role offers an opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and protection orders. The attorney will provide compassionate legal counsel, represent clients in court, and collaborate with other legal professionals. Duties:

  • Manage a variety of family law cases such as divorce, child custody, support, visitation, and paternity
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients, guiding them through the family court system
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs
  • Conduct legal research on family law issues and stay updated on current laws and regulations
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure seamless client representation
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering ongoing legal support
  • Participate in business development activities to help grow the firm's family law practice

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a legal team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State
