This non-client facing role focuses on supporting M&A practitioners by managing resources, developing templates, monitoring legal updates, and assisting with business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&A with experience in public and private transactions, corporate governance, and legal education.

Duties

  • Transaction Database Management: Input and audit deal terms in the firm’s Transaction Database, coordinating with knowledge management teams.
  • Form and Precedent Management: Draft and revise template documents; curate and organize M&A group forms, precedents, and resources.
  • Legal Updates: Monitor M&A-related legal and regulatory developments; prepare summaries and updates; ensure compliance in practice resources.
  • Legal Education: Collaborate with the legal education team to develop content for associate training and firm-wide sessions.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Support M&A marketing strategies, create content for pitches, blogs, and presentations, and assist with business development materials.
  • Attorney Support: Field requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other M&A resources.
  • New Initiatives: Participate in resource management and practice innovation projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a U.S.-based M&A corporate/transactional practice.
  • Proficiency in public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends.
  • Strong drafting and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
