Junior & Senior Litigation Associate

Duties:

Junior Litigation Associate:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on litigation matters.
• Assist with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Review and organize case files and documents.
• Assist with the discovery process, including document review and production.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to case strategy discussions.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit organization.
• Perform various legal administrative tasks as assigned.

Senior Litigation Associate:

• Conduct advanced legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Oversee the discovery process, ensuring compliance and accuracy in document review and production.
• Participate in client meetings, providing expert insights into case strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates in their day-to-day responsibilities.
• Lead trial preparation efforts, including managing witness preparation and exhibit organization.
• Handle legal administrative tasks and manage complex cases from start to finish.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
• For Junior Litigation Associate: Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation.
• For Senior Litigation Associate: Minimum of 10 years of experience in litigation.
• Civil litigation experience is preferred.
• Proven experience with legal research and writing.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a legal team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be willing and able to travel to various courts and jurisdictions as required.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• In-depth knowledge of civil litigation procedures and processes.
