The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel on healthcare regulations, particularly focusing on the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Corporate Practice doctrines, and related laws. This role involves driving strategy, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance across various regulatory frameworks. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, offer strategic guidance, and train client business teams on complex legal issues.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel on healthcare regulatory matters, with a focus on the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Corporate Practice doctrines, and related regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all healthcare regulatory issues, offering strategic guidance and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with healthcare, dental, and veterinary regulations.
  • Monitor and interpret complex legal requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable laws.
  • Work closely with various cross-functional departments to address regulatory and compliance issues effectively.
  • Train, educate, and provide strategic advice to business teams and leaders on healthcare regulatory compliance matters.
  • Offer pragmatic solutions and advice to navigate complex legal challenges related to healthcare regulations.
  • Stay current with changes in healthcare laws and regulations and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Provide guidance on corporate practice doctrines and Medicare policy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey; admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare regulatory law, with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Strong familiarity with the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Corporate Practice doctrines, and Medicare policy.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commercial and business acumen with a track record of delivering creative and pragmatic legal solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
