Job Overview: A law firm in Bloomfield Hills, MI, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to manage and assist clients with employment-based immigration matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling various immigration cases and will be responsible for preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.

Duties:

  • Manage and assist clients with employment-based immigration matters, including PERM, H-1B, L-1, E-1 and E-2, O-1, TN, J-1 waivers, and EB-1 through EB-5 cases.
  • Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities with prospective clients.
  • Supervise and mentor associates and staff on immigration matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan or willing and able to become licensed.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant employment-based immigration experience.
  • Proven experience obtaining temporary and permanent immigration status for professionals and highly skilled foreign nationals.
  • Experience preparing nonimmigrant visa applications.
  • Experience representing clients in immigration appeals and immigration court is a plus.
