Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocating on behalf of clients, with a focus on personal injury cases. The role entails managing all aspects of personal injury cases, from initial client consultation to trial representation.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about case developments and legal proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in personal injury cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Lead mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Develop comprehensive case strategies tailored to individual client needs and case circumstances.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and arbitrations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
• Licensed to practice law in Louisiana and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
• Proven experience in drafting and responding to motions in personal injury cases.
• Thorough understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
• Strong bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
