Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with equity financings, technology transfers, and complex licensing and collaboration arrangements.
  • Develop and implement both domestic and international tax planning strategies.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review tax-related documentation, including tax returns, filings, and compliance reports.
  • Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with governmental agencies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and clients to develop comprehensive tax strategies.
  • Stay updated on current tax legislation and trends to provide informed recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide junior associates and support staff on tax matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in tax law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate finance.
  • Proven experience in equity financings, technology transfers, and complex licensing and collaboration arrangements.
  • Strong knowledge of both domestic and international tax planning.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior academic credentials with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and a valid license to practice law.

  • Experience in representing clients in high-stakes tax disputes.
