An esteemed law firm in Charlotte is actively seeking a driven Associate Attorney to assume leadership over the Medicaid lien resolution practice area. In this role, the Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by assisting clients in navigating complex Medicaid lien resolution issues. If you're ready to take charge of this essential practice area and advocate passionately for the clients, this position offers a unique platform for growth and leadership.

As the lead Associate Attorney in Medicaid lien resolution, your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. You will provide attorney-to-attorney consultations on Medicaid lien resolution issues, evaluate case-specific facts to determine the best path forward for maximum lien reduction and negotiate lien reductions with state Medicaid agencies and lienholders. You will also assess the chances of success in pursuing judicial relief via Ahlborn hearings, draft and file complaints for judicial determinations of Medicaid recovery rights, and advocate zealously in court for the client's best interests. Additionally, you will play a vital role in protecting a claimant's future Medicaid eligibility post-settlement by drafting Special Needs Trusts (SNTs) and creating ABLE accounts. Your role will also involve tracking Medicaid compliance developments on a federal and state level and creating written content, such as articles and blog posts, to educate others about Medicaid compliance.

To excel in this role, candidates should hold a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and have a current license to practice law (or plan to sit for the Summer 2022 Bar exam). Excellent communication, speaking, and writing skills are essential, as you will be the leader in a critical practice area that requires precision and dedication.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, generous paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) program with a firm match. The flexible work environment promotes work-life balance, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally.

Your information will not be forwarded to any employers at this time. A recruiter will contact you with more information once our internal review of your resume is completed.
