A law firm in Santa Monica, CA, is seeking a highly experienced Real Estate Partner to join its team. The ideal candidate should possess a substantial book of business in real estate law and demonstrate exceptional legal expertise and client management skills.

Duties:

  • Manage and expand a substantial book of business in real estate law, meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Provide clients expert legal advice and strategic counsel on various real estate transactions.
  • Oversee complex real estate deals from inception to closing, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and client objectives.
  • Lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations related to real estate disputes and transactions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and legal developments affecting real estate law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing real estate law at a reputable firm.
  • Proven track record of generating $1.5 million or more in annual billings from real estate clients (or a demonstrable partial book of business with a solid business plan).
  • Strong negotiation skills with a history of successful deal-making and client retention.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification in Real Estate Law (if applicable).
