A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Tax Controversy / International Tax Associate Attorney with 3 years of experience. The candidate will assist in projects across various areas of the Firm's Tax Section, including Tax Planning, Tax Controversy, and International Tax. Fluency in Spanish is required, and an LLM in Taxation is essential.

 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Tax Section on projects related to Tax Planning, Tax Controversy, and International Tax.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax issues.
  • Assist in tax planning strategies for clients.
  • Handle tax controversy matters, including audits, appeals, and litigation.
  • Provide advice on international tax matters, including cross-border transactions and compliance.
  • Draft legal documents, including memos, opinions, and agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in tax law.
  • LLM in Taxation from an accredited law school.
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.

 

Education:

LLM in Taxation from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
