Mid-Level Labor And Employment Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Mid-Level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling clients on various employment issues and representing them in employment and wage & hour litigation. Duties:

• Counsel clients on employment-related issues, including employee rights, workplace policies, and compliance matters.
• Represent clients in single-plaintiff and class/collective action employment and wage & hour litigation.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and recommendations.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including strategy development, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on risk management and compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and other attorneys to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Proven experience in employment and wage & hour litigation, including class/collective actions.
• ERISA litigation experience is a plus.
• Strong academic background with a demonstrated record of excellence.
• Superior writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in the state of Ohio.

Skills:

• Expertise in employment law and wage & hour regulations.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
