Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Corporate Associate Attorney with 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and business acumen. They must excel in leading the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents, managing deal processes and client relationships, and supervising junior associates.

Duties:

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents for mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Manage the entire deal process, from inception to closing, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Handle day-to-day demands on a variety of mergers and acquisitions related matters with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and third-party advisors.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support transactional work and provide strategic advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Alabama State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
  • 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience at a reputable law firm.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and closing complex transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • High level of maturity and business sense, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a large regional, national, or international law firm is preferred.

Education and Certifications:
