Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including but not limited to personal injury, commercial disputes, and contract issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in pre-trial discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations and provide strategic legal counsel.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and ensure successful outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and counsel.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.
• Participate in firm-sponsored community outreach and diversity initiatives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

Education
