Senior Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in the Fresno, CA area is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join its team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled attorney with 5-8 years of immigration law experience to take on a leadership role within a growing firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex immigration cases and leading teams while working closely with clients to achieve positive outcomes in removal proceedings, family-based petitions, and other immigration matters.

Location:

• Fresno, CA

Duties:

• Provide strategic legal advice and solutions in immigration law matters.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
• Manage a diverse caseload, including family-based immigration petitions, removal defense, citizenship applications, and humanitarian cases.
• Conduct client intakes, including those held in detention centers.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including EOIR, detained, and family-based petitions.
• Review immigration applications and ensure they meet legal requirements, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates and changes.
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients and develop tailored case strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS interviews.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a wide range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on removal defense, family-based petitions, and USCIS applications.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, strategize, and collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar Admission in any state.
