The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in mechanical engineering along with a commitment to supporting a diverse range of clients through patent prosecution and other IP-related services.

Duties:

• Assist attorneys in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis on patentability, infringement, and validity of intellectual property claims.
• Collaborate with inventors and technical experts to understand inventions and prepare the necessary documentation.
• Support the preparation of patent opinions, including freedom-to-operate, infringement, and validity opinions.
• Communicate with clients and government patent offices on various IP-related matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patent laws and practices in the U.S. and internationally.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Strong academic background with an emphasis on mechanical engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Education:

• An undergraduate or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
