Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Mid-Level Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leveraged finance, asset-based lending, and private placements and be able to manage client relationships effectively.

Job Duties:

  • Counsel lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in leveraged finance transactions.
  • Handle asset-based lending, private placements, unitranche, first lien/second lien, and mezzanine financings.
  • Work on both leveraged and investment-grade lending transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including credit, security, and inter-creditor agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and prepare related reports.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar or ability to waive into the bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in leveraged finance transactions at a reputable law firm.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Financial Services or Banking Law (e.g., Certified Financial Services Counselor (CFSC)).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.

Other:

  • Previous experience working with large financial institutions and corporate clients preferred.
