Job Overview:
A law firm based in Chatham, New Jersey, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney. This role is focused on handling employment law cases for private-sector corporate clients in New Jersey and New York. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contributes to the firm's success with their expertise in employment law litigation.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and responses
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery, including E-discovery
  • Assist with deposition preparations and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations
  • Participate in trial preparation and strategy
  • Manage litigation tasks across various employment law matters, including lawsuits, administrative charges, subpoenas, and pre-litigation demands
  • Collaborate with a team to address client needs and provide high-quality legal service

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of substantive experience in employment law
  • Experience advising clients on employment law matters
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (New York Bar admission preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional legal writing and communication skills
  • Excellent legal research and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and clients concurrently
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • New Jersey Bar Admission (New York Bar admission preferred)

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
