Job Overview: A law firm specializing in complex litigation seeks a skilled Product Liability And Mass Torts Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be crucial in handling significant individual, multidistrict, mass tort, and class action lawsuits for product manufacturers across various industries.

Duties:

  • Assist in all phases of litigation, including initial case assessment, investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and trial teams on case strategy and management.
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience in a large law firm or civil litigation boutique.
  • Proven experience with product liability and mass tort litigation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state civil procedure rules.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation support software.
