Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal cases using research tools such as Westlaw to inform legal strategies and decisions.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests with precision and attention to detail.
• Litigate cases before State and Federal courts, effectively present arguments and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to understand legal needs and develop effective solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with current developments in relevant areas of law, including changes in legislation and case law.
• Provide legal guidance and support to clients and other claim professionals, ensuring they are informed and prepared for legal proceedings.
• Simultaneously manage multiple cases, tasks, and deadlines.
• Demonstrate verifiable experience in jury selection, soliciting testimony, and crossing witnesses, including cross-examining treating physicians and medical providers, as well as presenting defense experts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in personal injury law.
• Proven track record in trial litigation, including jury selection, cross-examination of witnesses, and presenting expert testimony.
• Strong writing and drafting skills, with the ability to create precise and effective legal documents.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, including Westlaw.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively litigate cases and interact with clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced law office environment, managing multiple cases, deadlines, and changing priorities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
