Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with over 10 years of experience to join its dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation matters, including general liability, professional liability, and employment claims, with significant hands-on experience from day one. The firm promotes a collaborative environment while offering the support and resources of a larger practice.

Duties:

• Lead representation of clients throughout the litigation process, from case initiation to trial.
• Handle matters related to general liability, professional liability, employment law, and other complex legal issues.
• Provide expert counsel to clients on diverse and challenging legal matters.
• Manage a variety of legal tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Collaborate with team members on case strategy and development.
• Prepare legal documents, motions, briefs, and other written communications.
• Ensure timely and accurate case management and reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on civil defense.
• Admission to the New York Bar.
• Strong expertise in handling general liability, professional liability, labor and employment, construction defect, casualty, and medical malpractice cases is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in an insurance defense litigation firm is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lexis software.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in New York.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle complex litigation cases with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in legal research and case management tools.
