Job Overview: A law firm in Richardson, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to oversee and manage its litigation practice. Duties:

  • Oversee and supervise all legal aspects of the firm’s litigation practice.
  • Manage a portfolio of contested litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Act as lead counsel in all phases of litigated proceedings, including response, discovery, motion practice, trial, post-judgment, and appellate practice.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to provide updates on case statuses and developments.
  • Guide operational staff on procedural changes and approve necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure the firm’s litigation practices adhere to state, federal, regulatory, and client-specific legal requirements.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and recommend adjustments to processes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • Admission to practice before all four Texas federal districts.
  • 3-5 years of experience as lead counsel in contested litigation matters, preferably representing financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience in handling contested default matters and banking litigation is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • Admission to practice before all four Texas federal districts is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
