Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney with 7+ years of practice to join its team in Menlo Park. The ideal candidate will have extensive trial experience, excellent writing and communication skills, and a strong ability to manage complex litigation matters. The associate will be involved in trial teams, manage trial calendars, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to business development efforts through various client communications and presentations.

Duties:

  • Participate actively in trial teams, preparing and presenting legal arguments.
  • Manage and oversee trial calendars, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Handle discovery tasks, including e-discovery, and assist in deposition preparations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and staff to ensure smooth case management.
  • Contribute to business development by creating client presentations, newsletters, and marketing materials.
  • Oversee long-term projects and manage resources efficiently to meet strategic goals.
  • Ensure effective integration of new lawyers into the team and provide mentorship.
  • Coordinate with practice managers and group leaders to identify staffing needs and enhance team performance.
  • Assist in trial preparation, providing organizational and strategic support.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of litigation experience with a focus on complex cases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, managing cross-departmental tasks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience in trial preparation and witness preparation for depositions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in good standing in CA.
