Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its expanding practice group in White Plains, NY. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in insurance defense litigation. Duties

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases under the supervision of a partner.
• Draft legal motions and status reports in preparation for court proceedings.
• Attend court appearances and conduct depositions as required.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective legal strategies.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding case developments and updates.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in New York; Connecticut admission is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience litigating insurance defense cases in New York State courts, including deposition experience.
• Strong organizational, time management, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Active membership in the New York Bar; Connecticut Bar admission is preferred.
