Job Overview:
A premier law firm is currently seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated attorney with a focus on EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) cases. The role involves representing clients in removal proceedings, preparing defensive immigration applications, and working closely with a collaborative team. Duties:

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Prepare defensive immigration applications, including I-589, 42A, 42B, I-485, SIJS, and PD requests.
  • Review USCIS filings and immigration applications, such as I-130, I-601A, and U-Visa petitions.
  • Consult with clients to determine case strategy and provide expert legal analysis.
  • Manage and mentor a team of paralegals, ensuring client service excellence.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
  • Effectively manage a caseload while ensuring timely progress on cases.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing Immigration Law.
  • Proven track record of successfully moving legal cases forward.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR matters, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and USCIS petitions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with case management software is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
