The ideal candidate will handle cases from start to finish, including litigation, negotiations, and settlements. Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including litigation.
  • Evaluate potential claims and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings to obtain fair compensation.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant evidence to support case strategies.
  • Regularly update case files and manage case progress with the support team.
  • Negotiate settlements, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, tort law, wrongful death, and civil litigation.
  • Excellent drafting, research, negotiation, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred but not required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in personal injury law, medical terminology, and civil litigation processes.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and lead a support team efficiently.
